Pat McGrath Labs New Foundation

Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation

When I heard that Pat McGrath came out with a new foundation, I was excited to test it out and see if it would really match my skin tone. The foundation gives medium coverage so if you like that natural finish then this foundation is for you. I always like to watch beauty bloggers and hear from friends their thoughts on the product before getting it my self. I personally have never purchased any of Pat McGrath products. About a couple days after the foundation dropped, I went to Sephora to purchase the foundation.

Before going to Sephora, I watched Makeup Shayla’s youtube video on the Pat McGrath Labs foundation. Usually, I watch her makeup videos on new products before testing them out for myself. I feel like she gives an honest review and we are around the same skin tone so I can gauge what foundation color to test on my face. Some of my friends how they felt about the foundation and they had positive reviews.

I went to Sephora tested out the ranges of Medium 19-21 on my inner arm and my chin/cheek area. I walked around Sephora for a little bit to let the foundation oxidize on my face. The medium 20 was my best match out of the three choices. The only downside that I have is when I get a little bit lighter because of the winter time that medium 19 is too light. Medium 21 is too dark when I get a tan in the summer. So I’ll have to switch to a different foundation during those seasons which is a bummer.

So, let’s start off with the price for this foundation is $68. I personally don’t spend that much on foundation but I told myself I would give it a chance. Pat McGrath changed the foundation game with this product, I literally feel like I’m not wearing foundation. It is a medium coverage foundation which I like because I don’t like my face to feel or look like I have a pound of makeup on.

It has such a great photo finish when it comes to taking pictures with this foundation. I also like that I was able to wear this foundation to a pool party in the summer and it looked like I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I would recommend purchasing this foundation if you have any time of skin and like medium coverage.
